Her career as an esteemed artist is just one of the things for which Jane Baldridge is known.
She’s also an award-winning sailor and licensed boat captain and her paintings reflect the movement, variation, and transformation of ocean and rivers through color and light.
As a result of her concern with the current ecological challenges facing waterways and coastal areas, Jane’s most recent work focuses on sea level rise, the damage of plastics and the threat of pollution to our environment.
Jane will share her thoughts and passion for painting and the water, as well as the correlation between the sea stories she tells in her paintings and the adventures at sea she has had at the Elliott Museum Artist Talks series on September 28 at 11 a.m. and October 28 at 6:30 p.m.
Each talk will last 45-60 minutes and will take place in the second-floor gallery of the Elliott Museum, 825 NE Ocean Blvd, Stuart.
Exhibit catalogs will also be available.
