In celebration of Earth Month, Florida Oceanographic Society invites you to take part in a hands-on, impact-driven Coffee and Conservation focused on plastic pollution.
📅 Friday, April 24
⏰ 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM
📍 Check-in at the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center
We’ll begin at the Coastal Center with a brief welcome before heading out together for a short beach walk to collect plastic pollution along our shoreline at Stuart Beach. After the short cleanup, we’ll return to the Coastal Center for a guided discussion on what we found, the broader impacts of plastic pollution, and most importantly how you can take meaningful action as an advocate.
This event is designed to move beyond awareness and into action. You’ll leave not only having made a direct impact on our local environment, but also with practical ways to continue advocating for healthier waterways.
Please note:
- This event will take place outdoors
- It is weather-dependent, so we’ll keep you updated if conditions change
- Transportation from to and from Stuart Beach will not be provided
We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful morning of coffee, conservation, and connection.
RSVP required.
