Come experience the REAL Florida by way of kayak! This guided tour takes visitors through the Indian River and the narrows to Jupiter Island.
This is a unique opportunity to visit one of Florida’s magnificent barrier islands. You will paddle through mangrove-lined creeks, and the tour will break at a pristine, undeveloped beach. Both the mangrove and the beach dune communities are home to numerous rare species of plants and animals, including some that are endemic or endangered. Your guide will point out various species and provide insight into the management activities used on the island. The interpretive tour is free and entry to the park is only $2 per kayak. Bring your own kayak or rent one from
the park (call in advance for reservations- $30 single, $40 tandem, park entry included) please bring exact change or check, no change will be provided. Visitors of all ages and skill levels are welcome, the tour should take approximately 3 hours.
What to Bring: A kayak (if not renting), clothes and shoes that can get wet, drinking water, snacks, lunch (if you’d like to picnic on the beach), hat, sunscreen, camera, beach towel. No pets or alcoholic beverages!
COVID-19 Guidelines and Safety Procedure: Bringing a mask is required. Masks must be worn whenever social distancing of 6 feet cannot be maintained. All kayaks and equipment are cleaned after the tour with a disinfecting spray or 3% bleach mix and are left to dry under the sun.
