A longtime collector, historian, and curator, Lightle brings decades of firsthand experience studying, authenticating, and exhibiting Highwaymen paintings across museums and private collections.
In this visually rich lecture, Lightle explores the origins of the Highwaymen movement, the individual artists who defined it, and the cultural and historical forces that shaped their work. Attendees will gain insight into the techniques, materials, and signatures that distinguish authentic Highwaymen paintings, as well as the stories—often overlooked—that give these works their lasting power.
