The Martin County Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society will lead a Native Plant Identification Hike at Jonathan Dickinson State Park on Sunday, January 12, 2020. The hike begins at 9am, but please plan to arrive by 8:45am.
Meet in the Hobe Mountain parking lot.
This will be an easy walk of about 1 mile. We stop frequently to examine the plants and identify them. We’ll share information about the plants’ connections to critters and the larger plant community, adaptations to seasonal flooding, drought and fire, and their unique ways of surviving in harsh conditions.
