The Barn is happy to announce that its next big main stage production, “The Cemetery Club,” will open on November 5th and run thru November 22nd. In The Cemetery Club, three widows who all live in the same Jewish community, gather weekly to visit their husbands’ graves and meet afterwards to talk about their lives, their friends, their future, and each other. Their differing approaches to widowhood lead to both hilarious comedy and heart wrenching conflict. Indeed, the Boston Globe said it is a“funny, sweet tempered moving” play. And the Washington Journal Newpapers described it as “very touching and humorous. An evening of pure pleasure that will make you glad you went to the theater.”
The cast and production team of The Cemetery Club are Carey Ann Elmquist (Doris), Dennis McGeady (Sam), Trinna Pye (Lucille), Rozanne Sehayik (Mildred), and Jeanette Mazzella (Ida). The Director is Francine Beckstead. The Stage Manager is Pat Tobin and the Producer is Jeanette Mazzella.
Ticket purchasers will be entered into a contest to win season tickets for The Barn’s next season main stage shows which include The Full Monty, Mamma Mia, and Flashdance, or, as a consolation, tickets to The Barn’s remaining main stage shows this season which include A Chorus Line, Rumors, and Little Shop of Horrors. You must call the box office to enter the contest and mention the promo code – “WE LOVE THE BARN THEATRE.”
Tickets are $30. Group & student discounts are available. For tickets, call The Barn Box Office at 772-287-4884 or visit The Barn’s website at www.barn-theatre.com.
