Experience nature through your fingertips as we explore the textures that make Florida’s landscapes so unique. Feel the rough bark of towering pines, the softness of lichens, the smoothness of sand, and the many textures that help plants and animals thrive. Along the way, we’ll discover how texture tells the story of adaptation, survival, and the incredible diversity found throughout Martin County’s natural areas.

Free program, reservations required
Begins at 9:00am and will last until approximately 10:30am
Walk will be about 1 mile across various natural surfaces including sand
Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray
Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult
No Pets
All participants will be required to sign electronic waivers that will be sent out prior to the program
