We’re celebrating Earth Month by taking part in the City Nature Challenge, an international community science effort to identify and document species found all over the world. It’s a bioblitz-style competition rooted in community science where cities or regions are in a contest against each other to see who can make the most observations of nature, who can find the most species, and who can engage the most people.
Join The Nature Conservancy and Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society at Blowing Rocks Preserve on Sunday, April 26 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. to gain a guided tour and be a part of this international nature challenge by documenting evidence of life, like plants, wildlife, insects, scat, fungus, and more!
No experience is necessary.
TNC will guide you through preserve trails and the native plant nursery and show you how to participate. Explore the martime hammock and dune habitats to collect observations through photos or sounds on this coastal barrier island.
All ages welcome, recommended for adults and youth ages 8 and up. *All youth 17yo and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
