Art in Isolation is the latest exhibition that the Martin Artisans Guild is presenting in the Palm Room. This is currently one of the only in-person shows of artworks that can be safely seen in a large public area. Featuring work by 11 professional artists who live in Martin County, Florida, the show includes some art that was produced during the isolation necessitated by the Covid-19 virus. The title also refers to the normal isolation of many artists when they are creating. Working alone can help artists concentrate and follow their inspiration without distractions. We often call this “being in the zone”, when time disappears and the art flows out! The show includes paintings, fused glass, jewelry, and ceramics.
Art in Isolation is open to the public, FREE, and is being held in the Palm Room of Harbour Bay Plaza, 3766 SE Ocean Blvd., in Sewall’s Point, FL 34996. The exhibition is open Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 6pm.
The artists participating in this exhibition are: Angela Krogen, Candy Walsh, Carol Kepp, Cheryl Coté, Dot Galfond, James J. DeMartis, Jane Baldridge, Laura Kay Darvill, Lynn Morgan, Mallo Bisset, and Billie Jo Thompson.
