Martin County Florida is a naturalist’s dream destination, thanks to our four-story building height restriction, 100,000 acres of parks and conservation land, and over 22 miles of uncrowded beaches. From pristine parks and spacious preserves to our unique attractions and prized location along one of the most biodiverse lagoon ecosystems in the country – there’s so much waiting to be discovered!
This free, mobile-exclusive trail is part of our award-winning Explore Natural Martin ecotourism program. Developed in partnership with Leave No Trace, our program is focused on sustainable tourism, accessibility, and fostering environmental stewardship for generations to come.
So how does it work? Sign up for the free trail by clicking the graphic below (don’t worry, it’s super simple and the pass comes with detailed directions). There are more than 20 stops included, such as state and local parks, nature preserves, unique attractions, and even some green-certified hotels. You’ll earn points each time you “check-in” to one of the stops along the trail, which you can then redeem for cool eco-swag! Each stop also includes an eco-tip, inspired by the 7 Principles of Leave No Trace. Still have questions? Read more here.
We hope our ever-evolving ecotourism program will teach you how to better protect our paradise while helping you connect with the great outdoors! And remember: “take only pictures and leave only footprints.”
