Maggy’s Hammock Park, located in historic Port Salerno, is a unique 22-acre conservation area consisting of threatened scrub and maritime hammock plant communities. This site is great if you are looking for a shorter option or a family friendly natural experience. There is a paved trail that leads through the center offering an accessible option, as well as a play ground located in the center of the park. The oak trees here are unforgettable with their dense canopy and twisting branches covered in air plants and Spanish moss. You may even catch a glimpse of our native and threatened Gopher Tortoise out grazing in the grass.
