Come experience the Nature Conservancy’s Blowing Rocks Preserve, uniquely located on the barrier island in southern Martin County. This preserve protects vital beach, beach dune and coastal habitats where you can also see a magnificent rocky Anastasia limestone shoreline. Sometimes at high tide and during rough seas, the rocky shoreline sends plumes of water shooting into the air creating an unforgettable experience!
There is an array of shorter family friendly trails to explore, each featuring interpretative signs and the Hawley Education Center provides an opportunity to learn about efforts to protect native habitats, plants, and animals in Florida and around the world. During the summer when the seas are calm and clear, the Anastasia rocks provide fabulous snorkeling, swimming, and scuba diving.
