Atlantic Ridge is one of the five Florida State Parks in Martin County. This 4,886-acre park is the place to go if you are looking for “off the beaten path” and lies along the majestic South Fork of the St. Lucie River. This park offers glimpses into historic Florida with its vast pine flatwoods, wetlands and shady oak hammocks. Tread quietly and you may see deer or river otters and look up to see bald eagles or red shouldered hawks. This is a must do for any nature enthusiast looking to get out, way out, into wild Florida wilderness. This is also a very popular site for horseback riding.
