Join us beneath the canopy of towering trees at this mysteriously unique preserve!
Step back in time and discover the natural beauty and ancient history of the Lake Okeechobee Ridge Trail. This guided nature walk will take you through a rare and remarkable landscape that reflects what “Old Florida” once looked like.
Surrounded by towering cypress trees and sprawling fig trees, we will learn about the ecological and cultural history of this preserve and what makes it so unique. If you are looking for an adventure off the beaten path- this hike is for you!

FREE program, reservations required
Begins at 9:00am and will last until approximately 11:00am
The length of this nature walk is approximately 2-2.5 miles across uneven natural trail with many roots
Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray
Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult
No pets
All participants will be required to sign electronic waivers that will be sent out prior to the program
