BAILEY ART GALLERY is Celebrating an Opening Reception for its Newest Art Exhibition, “The Women’s Show,” on February 14th from 5 PM to 7 PM. The Valentine’s Day event boasts three accomplished women in the arts displaying their inspiring combinations of fine art, Filmmaking, and Creative Mastery, honoring our natural world.

MEET THE ARTISTS!
KATIE GIANNI is an award-winning South Florida artist creating ornate paintings inspired by aboriginal and Art Nouveau styles.
LAURA KAY WHITICAR – DARVILL is an award-winning creator of wire-wrapped silver clay jewelry containing gemstones, Seaglass, and other found objects.
JANE LAWTON BALDRIDGE, ASMA, NAWA, is an international award-winning marine and environmental multimedia artist and filmmaker.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

5 PM – 7 PM: OPENING RECEPTION
March 1st
10 AM-4 PM: PAINTING DEMONSTRATION. Artist Katie Gianni will be painting on site all day and welcomes visitors to converse about her work and discover the process behind her ornate ink paintings. Katie may even allow you to try your hand at it!

March 7th
5 PM – 7 PM: FILM NIGHT – “WISDOM OF THE WAVES.” Screening of Jane Lawton Baldridge’s award-winning documentary. This eight-minute masterpiece has earned 13 international awards, including BEST INDIE NARRATIVE SHORT at The CANNE FILM FESTIVAL. As a renowned Marine and Environmental artist and Filmmaker, Jane will deliver a lively talk and Q&A on her unique insights and creative vision through her Films, paintings & sculptures. We are also honored to welcome an Everglades Foundation Representative who will share information on their essential work.
