No trip to south Florida is complete with a healthy helping of juicy, fresh-caught shrimp. The following Martin County restaurants serve up some of the best shrimp in all of Florida.
Crawdaddy’s N’awlins Grill & Bar
Get a taste of New Orleans on the Florida coast at Crawdaddy’s N’awlins Grill & Bar. This Jensen Beach spot specializes in shrimp-filled Cajun classics like shrimp creole and jambalaya and also offers an impressive dish known as the New Orleans Picnic which includes shrimp, crawfish, snow crab, clams oysters and more!
Getting Crabby
Don’t let the name fool you – Getting Crabby in Port Salerno serves up unforgettable crab AND shrimp. Shrimp purists will appreciate the plain peel and eat shrimp while those with an adventurous appetite will swoon over the red shrimp appetizer. This deep-water shrimp dish is delectably tender and only made better with a nice dose helping of melted butter and cocktail sauce.
The Gafford
Those looking for a more upscale dining experience should look no further than The Gafford in downtown Stuart. This sophisticated bistro offers an array of epic shrimp dishes like their shrimp and grits served over butternut squash – but we’re particularly fond of the famous Gafford steak and shrimp combo. Order an 8 oz. filet and add blackened shrimp for a dinner worth sharing.
Dolphin Bar & Shrimp House
As their name implies, the Dolphin Bar & Shrimp House in Jensen Beach is teeming with tantalizing and unique shrimp treats. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but we find ourselves craving the pineapple pina colada shrimp, the bacon skewered shrimp and the mozzarella shrimp on a regular basis.
Flash Beach Grill
This Hobe Sound haunt is known for its sand-covered, colorful patio and their delicious Asian-inspired dishes. Shrimp lovers should pay extra attention to the adorably named Hula Girl Hibachi. This Flash Beach Grill dish includes grilled jumbo shrimp, sea scallops and hibachi stir fry vegetables. You don’t need a grass skirt and coconut bra to appreciate the yumminess of this dish.
