Florida’s Butterflies & Bees Nature Walk

Did you know that butterflies are important pollinators and that we have many native bee species here in Florida? Come learn more fun facts about butterflies & bees as well as easy ways to identify the different types you may see here in Martin County. This nature walk will be led by a special guest from the Indian River Lagoon Aquatic Preserves Office who has developed and leads a citizen science pollinator garden monitoring program. And fingers crossed we can see some examples of our beautiful butterflies and bees- don’t miss out and come join us!
DETAILS
- FREE program, but reservations are required
- This program will begin at 9:00am and last until approximately 11:00am
- The length of this nature walk is about 1 mile across various natural surfaces
- Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
- Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray
- Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult
- No pets
- All participants will be required to sign waivers that will be provided at the start of the program
