An uncrowded beach escape Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa will open this July

The 184 rooms of Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa are a fresh take on an old standard – the luxury beach getaway, where travelers can escape the hectic rush of modern life and settle in to the laid-back coastal cool. The first new beach resort to be built on Hutchinson Island in nearly 20 years is set to open in the spring of 2017, featuring two oceanfront restaurants, two swimming pools, and a signature spa.


Expanding upon the successful Martin Arts Month Martin Arts Alive is a three month celebration of the arts starting in January and continuing throughout March

Martin Arts Alive brings together a diverse cross-section of arts and culture programs from organizations throughout the county for a month long celebration of the arts.  Showcasing galleries, arts, groups, museums, theatres, concerts, literary events, educational science activities, film, fashion and festivals!

Annual Classics at the Beach Car Show                                        April 21, 2017            

This show gets better and better each year as the Elliott Museum on Hutchinson Island in Stuart, Florida invites auto enthusiasts to celebrate the art, history and technology of the classic automobile during its Annual Classics at the Beach Car Show.   This event hosted by the Elliott Museum, is a juried car show featuring over 80 classic cars, showcasing some of the best vehicles from the Treasure Coast and beyond.


Stuart Sailfish Regatta                                                                      May 20-21, 2017                    

Get ready for an exciting weekend with hydroplanes, race boats and powerboats competing for prize money and bragging rights. The races will once again be held on the Stuart Causeway on a 1.1-mile oval racecourse on the northern side of the bridge. The new, expanded site will allow for more vendors and activities, including live music, a bikini contest and the ultimate spectator viewing area on top of the bridge.   Visitors can expect a new and improved layout overall and additional food, beverage and customer services.


Hobe Sound Natural Wildlife & Nature Center Turtle Walks         May-mid July

During February – September female sea turtle return to land to lay eggs, occurring mostly at night. The female will crawl out of the ocean and will carefully choose a spot to nest. She will construct a “body pit” by digging with her flippers and using her body. She will then lay her eggs; the average clutch size ranges from about 80 to 120 eggs. Once she is finished nesting she will cover the eggs and return to the ocean.


30th Annual Dancin’ in the Street!                                                    August 19, 2017

The Annual Dancin’ in the Streets street party and music festival returns to historic Downtown Stuart. The longest-running music festival in Martin County will take place on five stages with over 20 bands and a national headliner (to be announced) from 3 p.m. – midnight.

Every year, the streets of Downtown Stuart shut down and the community comes out for a day of live musical performances, food, drinks, vendors, kids activities and of course – dancin’ in the streets!


Indiantown Rodeo at Timer Powers Park                               October 19-20, 2017

The 70th Annual Indiantown Rodeo will be held at Timer Powers Park, located at 14000 SW Citrus Boulevard in Indiantown. The rodeo is endorsed by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association. The event includes bareback and saddle bronco riding, barrels, bull riding, steer wrestling, and team roping. This year, the venue will feature a covered arena. There are also many weekend packages and promotions available for this event. So come on out and enjoy all the fun and excitement!

28th Annual Award-winning Stuart Airshow                                 November 3-5, 2017            

The largest air show in Southern Florida is held at the Martin County Airport, located at 2400 SE Monterey Road in Stuart. Headlining this year will be three military acts: the U.S. Navy F-18, U.S. Air Force F-16 and the U.S. Army Golden Knights. This exciting, annual event is sure to blow you away with amazing performances, firework displays, carnival rides and live music. If you wish to leave the ground, helicopter rides and flights on the Warbird Texan aircraft are available at an additional fee. Make sure you stay for the nighttime aerobatics show: it truly is beautiful to see the aircraft light up the evening sky


Pineapple Festival- Jensen Beach                                                  TBD November

The signature event of Jensen Beach, the Pineapple Festival, is one of the largest festivals in the region and one of the few remaining true street festivals in South Florida. Growing in popularity over its’ 30 year history, the weekend-long festival salutes the community’s rich pineapple heritage and features events for the entire family: world class concerts, arts, crafts, street performers, local bands and midway rides. A main component of the Festival is the Bahamian Market. A delegation from Eleuthera, Bahamas creates an authentic Bahamian Market featuring island music, crafts and the heart pounding sounds of Junkanoo.
