For the eighth year in a row, the Zweben Law Group is partnering with United Way of Martin County on the Zweben Law Group Bike Drive to make the holidays extra special for local families who are struggling to make ends meet. The goal of the month-long initiative is to raise enough money to cover the cost of 300 bikes, skateboards and scooters to be given to children in need through the United Way Holiday Project.
To launch the endeavor, Zweben Law Group is hosting a Bike Drive Kickoff Party at Casa Tequila in Stuart on the outdoor patio on Thursday, Nov. 18, 5-7 p.m. Tickets are $35 and include one beer or margarita and heavy appetizers.
One hundred percent of all ticket sales and donations go toward purchasing bikes, scooters, skateboards and helmets. The kickoff party raises a significant portion of the funds for the bike drive through ticket sales and direct donations in amounts both large and small, but donations can be made at any time from now until Dec. 13.
Kickoff Party tickets can be purchased and donations in any amount can be made at United Way’s website: http://unitedwaymartin.org/Bike
The United Way Holiday Project engages the entire community to provide toys for Martin County children in need. United Way of Martin County is the official coordinating organization for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots in Martin County.
