On Saturday, October 20, Jonathan Dickinson State Park invites the community to watch live burn demonstrations and learn about the importance of prescribed fire in Florida. The park is partnering with the Friends of JDSP and Florida Forest Service to welcome everyone to come out and enjoy the park. Watch a day or night burn demonstration and join us for a family-friendly activity with live music, spooky trail, interactive hayrides, swamp buggy tours, truck demonstrations, marshmallow roasting, kid’s activities with prizes, and more! Keep an eye out for Smokey Bear too! Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Entrance fee is $6 per car and includes plenty of free activities for everyone to have a great day in the park! Hayrides, Buggy Rides, and other special activity have additional fees. For more information, follow us @jdspfirefest or call 561-745-5551.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc., a community- based, non-profit organization that advocates for the historical, educational and ecological enhancement of Jonathan Dickinson State Park.
