The Barn Theatre Presents When Radio Was King Starring SWING
Feb 12 - Feb 13

Remember those magical radio shows of the 1940’s that propelled the “Big Band Era” and featured iconic vocal artists who performed with them, such as The Andrew Sisters, The Modernaires, The Pied Pipers, The Ink Spots, The Mills Brothers, and, of course, Frank Sinatra, Bob Eberly, Helen O’Connell, & Doris Day. Well, vocal group SWING will recreate some of that magic as they perform such American Songbook classics as IN THE MOOD, SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY, CHATTANOOGA CHOO-CHOO, STARDUST, BEGIN THE BEGUINE, NIGHT AND DAY, and many more big hits. And in keeping with the radio show format, you, our “live” studio audience, will be treated to memorable commercials (Chock Full O’ Nuts, Wheaties, Carter’s Little Liver Pills), comedy routines from Abbott & Costello and Burns & Allen, and an entertaining dance break or two.

Your special person will love this Valentine’s Day treat with great music and entertainment. Show dates are Saturday, Feb. 12th at 8:00 PM and Sunday, Feb. 13th at 2:00PM. Tickets are now on sale, only $30. Call our box office at 772-287-4884 or visit the Barn’s website at to reserve your seats.

Proceeds from this show will be used to help pay for improvements to the Barn’s outside lobby area. Covid measures are in place.
