“Shoot for the Moon” Sporting Clays competition helps fight addiction on the Treasure Coast
The Mark Garwood SHARE Foundation will host its annual “Shoot For The Moon” sporting clays competition at the South Florida Shooting Club in Palm City on March 23, 2018. The event will raise funds for scholarships that are awarded annually to qualified individuals who have battled back from substance abuse and are seeking to complete their educational goals. The event will include a breakfast, awards lunch, a live auction, and opportunities to bid on a number of raffle items.
Over the past three years the Mark Garwood SHARE Foundation has awarded over $75,000 in financial aid to 14 individuals. All of the recipients are now successfully enrolled in college courses and are steadily working toward completion of their degrees.
“Shoot For The Moon” supports the charitable legacy initiated by John and Erica Garwood after losing their 24 year old son, Mark, to the effects of substance abuse in May, 2014. The Mark Garwood SHARE Foundation underwrites a number of charitable projects throughout the region. To learn more about the Foundation visit MarkGarwoodSHAREFoundation.org.
