Help us gather the history of Martin County by sharing yours! Residents and local community members are invited to bring items of historic significance to one of our upcoming digitization workshops!
Friday, March 20
Time: 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Location: Log Cabin, 2369 North Dixie Highway, Jensen Beach
Saturday, April 25
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Location: The Blake Library, 2351 SE Monterey Road, Stuart
Wednesday, May 13
Time: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Location: Costella Williams Learning Center, 4455 SE Murray Street, Port Salerno
(New Monrovia One-Room Schoolhouse will also be open for viewing)
How it works:
•Bring items with historic significance to Martin County. Please limit items to 10-20 per person.
•Items will be scanned and saved using professional equipment.
•You keep the original. Want a digital copy for yourself? Bring a USB flash drive.
•Share memories in a recorded oral history interview (optional).
•With permission, digital copies of selected items may be added to the Martin County Memory Project.
What we’re looking for:
•Martin County post cards or souvenirs
•Old photographs and scrapbooks (images older than 30 years may be considered historically significant)
