Named “1 of the top 5 songwriters of Australia”, South Florida’s Johan Danno is part folk rock, part soul pop reggae, with a full shot of inspiration and hope that uplifts your soul and vibe!
A musician since age 11, it wasn’t until one of his song saved a friends life in 2014 he left his high-profile IT career for music. Ditching his tie for a guitar strap, he performed 6 shows a week on the Gold Coast of Australia while running a weekly original music series, developing him into a high energy live performer that loves to connect to the crowd.
Pulling from his reggae roots upbringing in south Florida, blues soaked visits to New Orleans, soul-pop and americana inspirations from Austin and Nashville, and topped with his gypsy folk rock journey in Australia, his music goes through every emotion, with his covers pulling from current to classic’s and 90’s.
Described as “John Mayer and Dave Matthews mixed with G Love and Shakey Graves listening to Tony Robbins tapes”, his music transcend generations, races, and is best explained as a ‘conscious brew of good vibes, passion and inspiration the world needs now more than ever’ (Chris Culnane, DAYBREAKER).
Joining Johan will be brothers Jay Tea on drums, the former drummer of the touring punk rock band Bastard Suns, along with the thumping bass of Matt Berger from Jerriko.
