Cultural Conversations, one of the most popular series presented to the community by Arts Council of Martin County, will continue its tradition of exploring new topics and territories during the 2017 season
Underwritten by Wilmington Trust, this year attendees will hear about famous people and the jewelry they collect, a talk about Abstract Expressionism and a workshop that explains how to select and buy art.
At each “Conversation”, there is time to talk, share a libation and celebrate a love for the arts.
On March 9 from 5:30-7 p.m., Tracy Sherman, a 35-year veteran of the jewelry industry, will discuss Famous Jewelry Collections at Auction and the stories behind them, including Jackie O and Liz Taylor.
Ms. Sherman recently joined Heritage as Director of Fine Jewelry in its Palm Beach office, after a career at Sotheby’s in New York, as fine jewelry expert, during the heyday of such important estates as the Duchess of Windsor, Andy Warhol and Jackie Kennedy Onassis. As an auctioneer, she handled the sale of Ella Fitzgerald and George Burns.
