Cultural Conversations: Food & Culture
16 Jan

The Arts Council of Martin County is pleased to present another riveting season of Cultural Conversations, an enriching series designed to engage the community in discussions of cultural interest. We have an exciting line up of diverse cultural topics on a variety of art-forms created with a host of experts eager to share their passion for the arts with our guests.

January 16th kicks off Cultural Conversations with a panel discussion on the Culinary Arts. Local chefs and food experts will discuss the concept of food as art and the creative possibilities of the culinary arts. Guest experts include Lorna Day, author, food critic, and owner of Ooo La La Catering. Joining her will be chef Olivia Ostrow, the chef/owner of O Gourmet French Bistro & Catering in downtown Stuart. Laura Richardson, owner of The Flavor Excursion-A Taste For The Senses, a culinary tour company based in Stuart Florida will round out the discussion which will be facilitated by Edward Jones -Financial Advisor Paul Nunley, coordinator of ArtsFest’s culinary competition “Chopped”.

Cultural Conversations our many efforts to engage the community in all things artistic with a goal to inspire greater participation in and a passion for the arts in our community. Through our Cultural Conversations, we intend to provide interesting and evocative dialogue designed around P.L.A.C.E. (people, land, arts, culture and engagement).
