Title: The Future of Coral Reed Restoration

Description:

Coral reef restoration began in Florida nearly 20 years ago, following the long-term decline of the iconic staghorn and elkhorn thickets. Continued declines in reef health have created an industry focused on bringing back both the corals and the ecosystem services they provide. Planning efforts are underway to ensure that as restoration efforts scale up, they are being built on lessons learned and that effort is placed in strategic places where success is most likely. Join us to learn about The Nature Conservancy’s work, first in supporting our partners as they developed the techniques that are used worldwide today, and now in supporting the reef managers in planning for the future of reef restoration in Florida.
