Forty seven artists will be showing their creative work in thirty different locations. All are professional artists, live and work in or near Martin County and are members of the Martin Artisans Guild. While several of the artisans teach, a number of them depend almost entirely on art sales to support themselves.
The tours are self-guided with the help of printed booklets and maps. Visitors may choose to see whichever studios appeal to them. Sample images of all the artists’ work are included in the booklets. There is no charge to take the tour.
A preview exhibition reception will be held January 10 at the Elliott Museum on Hutchinson Island, where every artist participating in the tour will display one example of his or her work. The artists participating in the tour are looking forward to showing visitors where and how they work, talk about their processes and answer questions.
The Martin Artisans Guild is A Florida 501(3)c non-profit and was created to nurture the production of Fine Art and Craft, increase awareness of local art, facilitate development and networking among Working Artists and create marketing venues for our members.
